Our Story

Oak Hill Assembly began reaching the city of Nashville with the message of Jesus in the early 1950's under the leadership of Pastor W.C. Langford. The church was originally known as Belmont Assembly and was located near music row. Under Pastor Langford's leadership the church grew to become a thriving congregation and relocated to its current location on Franklin Pike in the Oak Hill community and changed its name to Oak Hill Assembly.

Pastor Langford pastored the congregation at Oak Hill for more than 40 years. Upon his retirement the church selected Rev. Steve Allen to be their next Senior Pastor. The church continued to thrive under Steve's leadership, see many ministries blossom and the reach of the church expanded. Pastor Allen served for more than 20 years until his retirement. Upon his retirement the church selected Pastor Greg Lemley to serve as its Senior Pastor

Pastor Greg was a gifted musician with a passion for worship and teaching. He built a thriving worship ministry and led outreach efforts to largely ignored groups in the community. He served as Senior Pastor for more than 8 years until his family relocated to Texas in late 2021. In January of 2022, Oak Hill welcomed its new pastor, Brad Russell, from North Little Rock, Arkansas. He has served as a worship pastor for nearly 30 years, and brings a wide range of experience to this role.

The unfolding story of Oak Hill Assembly is still being written, and we believe God has strategically positioned us at the heart of the Nashville Metro area to see many souls added to God's Kingdom.
