From the Pastor
While listening to updates on Hurricane Earl going across the eastern coastal regions, there was one thought that seemed to be with most reporters and forecasters, “It could have been a lot worse.” So many times we hear those words. Sometimes I think they tend to lull us to sleep. People have been warned so many times of potential hurricane threats; they tend to tune them out. Danger should never be ignored. It is far better to be prepared than not to be.
These warnings bring to mind a strong warning that I have been hearing all of my life- the warning of the coming of the Lord! But, just as the weather alerts are too often ignored, the message of the Lord’s return is even more so overlooked. The Bible warns us that in an “hour that you think not, the Lord will come.” To the Christians, I do not believe it will come as a great surprise. Most believers I talk to have a great anticipation of the Great Advent.
Are you watching and waiting with glorious anticipation of His return? What a wonderful day we live in today. The Lord’s return is going to be a reality. Count on it.

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
